It is hard to believe that summer is already here (especially on a day like today that feels cool enough for a jacket). Students finished finals about 2 weeks ago, and are well on their way to enjoying their summer. Some are taking summer classes, some are working as much as they can, and others are serving in ministry in some capacity. Two students are serving as summer camp counselors, and I would especially like to ask you to pray for them. Aaron is serving at Canby Grove Christian Conference Center, and Elliot is serving at Eagle Fern Camp. Both of them will be serving through August with about a 24-hour off-period per week. Pray for their stamina/endurance/energy level, but most of all, pray for opportunities for them to invest in the lives of boys and girls, and that they will be able to make a difference for the cause of Christ.

I would also like to ask you to pray for Carol, the mother of a former student who is on a transplant list, but is likely to pass away before she gets a transplant. Pray for her son Andy, as well as the entire family. One of our students, (Kathy) is close friends of the family, so pray for her as well.

On a personal note, my grandfather had a light stroke while I was in Kansas, but is now home from the hospital. Pray for him as he works to regain strength on his left side. He was doing much better by the time I left, for which I am grateful.
