Grace Academy Preschool Goals

1. To provide a setting in which the needs for self-awareness, self-confidence, self-expression and self-appreciation are recognized and fostered. In order to accomplish these goals, we try to:
1. Reinforce the child’s sense of trust and independence;
2. Challenge him/her through our structure to assert his/her developing initiative and inventiveness;
3. Provide opportunities for him/her to express his/her inner self through creative activities.
   
2. To assist the church program in developing a relationship with God and in establishing values to live by. We want to help children to learn:
1. About Jesus, from the Bible, as a person who loved children and who taught about God;
2. That God loves us and created us and our world;
3. To express themselves through prayer;
4. Through Bible lessons and interaction with teachers and children that being considerate of others is important, and helps other people to want to be our friends.
   
3. To aid in developing language, motor, and social skills, and begin teaching basic concepts of numbers, letters, colors, shapes, etc.

We believe we have a sound preschool program and hope that these goals will give you a good understanding of what we are doing.
